Melide to Salceda

We put in 25 kilometers/15 miles today.  Arrived at our awesome Albergue at 4:30, long day but this place is soooo worth it.  Triple room, private bath, nice, nice.

Sandra , Canadian, and Fran, Boston, are also here.  We met Fran way back in Puenta la Reina.

Dinner last night was fun, ended up next door to our albergue - ordered drinks, sandwiches and dessert..

Our albergue was, how shall I put it, "What ta dump!" The 3 of us in a 4 person room.  Showers were okay but the rest of the place left something to be desired.

It was one of those - what do you mean we're staying here

Today was a great trail, stream crossing

Janet and Mare leading the way

Beautiful flowers

First breakfast - Janet's chocolate croissant has become a staple

Sue's grande cafe con leche

Mare and Sue gobbled up their eggs and bacon before picture.

Time to move on after breakfast

So my faithful blog followers you want to know - what was for dinner?

Red and white wine, bread - of course

Mare's and Sue's pasta - very good

Janet's minestrone soup - also very good

2nd course

Sue's pork stew

Janet's and Mare went with the chicken

Dessert -

Cheese cake for Janet and the Mare

Sue's San Marco Cake

Great dinner with Mark, Switzerland, Sandra, Canada, Fran, Boston, 3 others, and us.

We are enjoying our fantastic room, sleeping in tomorrow, breakfast goes till 9:00, and best of all: we have a short day planned for tomorrow.
